It’s so hard to say goodbye…

NKOTB

Bands reunited.

Dance moves were resurrected.

Heart rates revved.

Arms were raised.

Voices roared.

Girls reminisced.

Dreams were renewed.

Fantasies were reig-knight-ed. (pun intended)

So in other words, the The Package Tour rocked!  My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Boys II Men and New Kids on the Block totally delivered. I really shouldn’t comment on 98 Degrees, as I really never listened to their music, so I can’t hold them to any standard. I sat during their time on stage, which was too long, if you ask me. In terms of fame and popularity and the number of accolades that Boys II Men have won in the past, I think they were the bigger and better group. But I am totally biased. Boys II Men were amazing, even with only the three of them. So while I enjoyed every minute of their time on stage, I wish that they were on for longer.

New Kids, as always, didn’t disappoint. They played the crowd, sang every one of their hits and then some and danced like they were still in their twenties. Two hours of sweat, songs and screaming!

It was great!

I read a review of the concert from The Toronto Star, and it pretty much captures it all. http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/music/2013/06/08/new_kids_on_the_block_concert_review.html

They got four stars. And deserved every one of them!

It’s so hard to say goodbye…so instead I’ll just say see you later.

Until we meet again!

 NKOTB - hangin' tough

As promised, I said I would pick the one song that got stuck in my head, and it was actually, to my surprise, Please Don’t Go Girl. Joey McIntyre rocked it! And I felt 16 again! (For the record, Hangin’ Tough, which they dedicated to the city of Boston and to their fans who have hung in there for the past 25 years, was a close second choice.)

Happy Musical Monday!

Please Don’t Go Girl

By: New Kids on the Block

We’ve been together for a long time, baby
Do you have to leave?
Please don’t go girl
I just can’t live without you
Please don’t go girl
So listen to me… (Don’t go, girl)
Please don’t go girl
You would ruin my whole world
Tell me you’ll stay
Never ever go away
I love you (I love you)
I guess I always will
Girl, you’re my best friend
Girl, you’re my love within
I just want you to know
That I will always love you
Ooh, baby

Tell me you’ll stay
Never ever go away
I need you (I need you)
I guess I always will
Girl, you’re my best friend
Girl, you’re my love within
I just want you to know
That I will always love you
Ooh, baby

(Please don’t go girl)
I’m gonna always love you girl
I’m gonna love you girl until the end of time
Tell me girl
You’re gonna always be mine

Please don’t go girl
You would ruin my whole world
Tell me you’ll stay
Never ever go away
I love you (I love you)
I guess I always will
Girl, you’re my best friend
Girl, you’re my love within
I just want you to know
That I will always love you
Ooh, baby

(Please don’t go girl)
(Please don’t go girl)
Please don’t go girl
(Please don’t go girl)
Please don’t go, baby
(Please don’t go girl)
Please don’t go girl
(Please don’t go girl)
Please don’t go darlin’
(Please don’t go girl)
Please don’t go, baby, no
