I’m loving all the new music that I’m being exposed to lately. Today’s installment of Music Monday started by watching the lip sync battle between Jimmy Fallon and Emma Stone. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend that you do, and you can find it here. It’s pretty geat.

So I had never heard of Iggy Azalea before that, but she is a blond bombshell rap artist from Australia who’s song Fancy (featuring Charli XCX), is quickly climbing up the charts.

I heard the song on the radio the other day and she has a bit of a Ke$ha vibe to her, however it’s more gritty. I also think that Charli XCX has a Gwen Stefani-ish sound to her. The song is catchy and I find myself singing it to myself as I can’t get it out of my head. The video pays homage to Clueless and has a warning of explicit lyrics. And while I’m not sure if this song is fancy enough for a Victoria Day holiday Monday, if you’re having a party, than I think it’s more than appropriate, as the catchy beat will have you and your guests shakin’ it on the dancefloor.
