Tomorrow

This past weekend, I thought I’d introduce my Little Bird to a classic movie that I enjoyed as a child, so I put in Annie. She enjoyed watching the singing and dancing part, even breaking out in her own dance a few times during It’s a Hard Knock Life. In the end, I found myself watching it alone, having both my kids abandon me somewhere along the way. At one point, my husband came into the living room, noticed the lack of viewers and asked me if they were watching the movie.

“Yes. Sort of,” I replied.

No. Not really, was the real answer.

But I enjoyed it. And in honour of it, here’s today’s Music Monday song choice:

Tomorrow

By: Aileen Quinn in the musical Annie (1982)

The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There’ll be sun!
Just thinkin’ about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
‘Til there’s none!
When I’m stuck a day
That’s gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh
The sun’ll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
‘Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You’re always
A day
A way!
