5 Surprise Mini Brands

If you have kids in your life, you’ve heard of unboxing surprises. Also known as blind bag toys, they are tiny toys hidden in bags, balls, boxes, foils, or containers that need to be unwrapped, or unboxed.

The fun is in the unboxing or unveiling, and the excitement builds around which toy they will receive. I will admit as a parent, it can be stressful, as you don’t know what you are getting, but as a kid, that mystery is part of the appeal.

Now, aside from dolls, cars, animals and various characters, Zuru toys came out with 5 Surprise Mini Brands. Real miniatures of actual brand products and let me tell you, they are adorable!

My kids love them! The capsule (ball) contains 5 mini brands that they get to peel and reveal. There are various categories of brands, including dairy, snacks, grocery and personal products.

The added appeal is the search for the special collectibles that include common items, metallic, glow-in-the-dark rare, and super rare gold items. Each capsule comes with a list to help you determine which category your brands fit in. And you can add to the collection season after season.

There are over 70 miniature well known brands to collect including mini Mentos, Qtips, Skippy peanut butter, Spam, Wet Wipes, Axe body spray, Dove soap and so many more. And they are adorable!

There are also accessories, including a shopping basket, shelf and cart to collect, all to help you create your own shopping world. The collectible nature behind these toys is what keeps them at the top of the list of the hottest toys of the holiday season.

What the kids had to say

Little Mouse: I love how adorable the brands are and how small they are. I hope one day I can get the Breyers ice cream, because it’s my favourite. I love playing with then because they are like mini foods for your dolls.

Little Bird: I like that they are small. I love the little foods and that we can collect so many. I really hope I can find the gold Pez dispenser one day.

5 Surprise Mini Brands make the perfect stocking stuffer and are suitable for kids over 3 (due to the small pieces). They retail from $10-15 and can be found at Toys R Us and Showcase.
